The HiPer Access System for the Total Control Remote
Access Concentrator brings industry-leading technology and
port densities, optimal system flexibility and investment
protection to the remote access concentrator market. When
used as a complete system solution, the Total Control Remote
Access Concentrator, HiPer DSP Cards and HiPer Access Router
Cards are able to support and route 336 analog dial-up calls
via T1 connections, or 420 analog dial-up calls via E1 connections.
With this system, analog or ISDN calls can be routed to Frame
Relay and Ethernet networks, or soon to come, Token Ring and
ATM networks, to ensure maximum system flexibility. The entire
system is contained in 8.75" of height, which allows you to
maximize your available space.
The HiPer Access System employs U.S. Robotics V.Everything®
and x2™ technologies to support the highest possible communication
speeds, and protects your investment through programmable
digital signal processors (DSPs). The DSP expands the cards'
functions beyond modem capabilites to support future applications
such as multimedia, voice-over-IP, packet encryption and channel
compression.
To round out the system's robustness, the HiPer Access System
provides comprehensive SNMP-based network management capailites
as well as security and call accounting support.
