Integrating FaxPress with MS Exchange and Outlook
FaxPress provides two options to integrate fax into Microsoft
Outlook and Exchange. Castelles Exchange Direct provides
a direct link between Outlook clients and a FaxPress server.
With it you dont even need an Exchange Server to send
and receive faxes from Outlook. The direct connection to the
FaxPress also provides you with real-time fax status. The
other option, the Exchange Connector, interfaces FaxPress
to an Exchange server. This option does not require installation
of any Castelle client software, allows to use Exchange global
address book for faxing and to use Exchange administrative
tools. With either option, users can send and receive faxes
as easily as emails.
FaxPress SMTP Gateway
The FaxPress SMTP Gateway is by far the most versatile e-mail
gateway for FaxPress. It enables users of virtually any e-mail
system to send and receive faxes.
The SMTP Gateway runs as a service on an NT 4.0 workstation
or server and appears as an SMTP (Internet) e-mail server
on the network, e.g., fax.castelle.com. When a
user wants to send a fax via e-mail, he/she addresses the
e-mail as such: faxnumber@fax.company.com.
The FaxPress SMTP Gateway has been tested in GroupWise and
Exchange environments. It has proven to be a very reliable
alternative to NLMs or connectors, especially since it does
not run on the NetWare or NT server of the e-mail system.

native attachments rendering mechanism
FaxPress SMTP Gateway for Lotus Notes
The FaxPress SMTP Gateway software serves as intermediary
between the FaxPress server and your Lotus Notes email system,
offering your company the benefit of centralized fax and email
management, and your staff the convenience of a unified messaging
environment.
The SMTP Gateway allows you to send and receive faxes via
the FaxPress server without ever leaving your Notes client.
Familiar email commands are used to create, address and send
faxes, making fax messaging as simple as sending an email.
Attachments are rendered into fax file format for most applications,
letting you send attached files to both fax and email recipients
simultaneously.
The SMTP Gateway's fax features are available to both local
and offsite FaxPress users.
