Shiva LanRover Plus is a multi-protocol comms server that routes IPX/SPX and IP protocols, bridges NetBEUI and 802.2 LLC and supports native PPP and SLIP. It also supports dial out modem pooling and fax-out over IP or IPX. The server is expandable to 8 ports, has an integrated NIC and is suitable for rack mounting. It is available with a choice of internal high speed Async ports, V.34 modems or ISDN Basic Rate adapters. Configuration and management is handled from a Windows PC over IPX or IP. DOS and Windows clients are bundled with the server, Win 95 and NT clients are supplied by Microsoft and OS/2 clients are also available.

Shiva LanRover Plus supports up to 4 ISDN Basic Rate cards supporting up to 8 concurrent sessions at 64K bps or 4 sessions at 128K bps using Multilink PPP. Spoofing is provided for IP and IPX.

Although the Shiva LanRover range is no longer manufactured, XCOMM remains committed to providing support and replacement parts for those organisations who still depend on Shiva for their remote access.
